It is with pleasure that we share with you the second of our Nostra Aetate celebration events.
In this series presented by Fr. David Neuhaus SJ we offer you three approaches to Nostra Aetate:
- The history and development of the document Nostra Aetate.
- An in depth focus on Nostra Aetate No.4, the longest section of Nostra Aetate, which deals with the relationship of the Church with the Jewish people.
- A close look at section 3 of Nostra Aetate, which speaks of the relationship of the Church with Muslims.

Our next major event will feature two renowned scholars, Dr Philip Cunningham and Dr Adam Gregerman, Directors of the Institute for Jewish Catholic Relations, St Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, who will be our guests presenters. Both will speak to us, each from their own perspective, of the ways this groundbreaking document, Nostra Aetate, has changed the way Christians and Jews relate to each other and how the Church has dealt with historical issues, including supersessionism.
In their third video of this series, Dr Cunningham and Dr Gregerman will dialogue as they discuss the positives that Nostra Aetate has brought to the relationship between Christians and Jews, and the many challenges that still remain to be resolved.
