Parashat Miketz. Genesis 41:1-44:17
As we reflect on Parasha, Miketz, we see how God speaks through dreams. Joseph’s careful attention to the dreams of the cupbearer, the baker, and Pharaoh reveals how God communicates the divine will, both directly and indirectly. Dreams are not mere fantasies—they can carry guidance, insight, and warnings. God continues this pattern in the New Testament, for example Matt. 1:20.
Exercise:
This week, pay close attention to your own dreams. Keep a pencil and paper by your bedside, with a small light if needed. Write down anything you remember immediately upon waking. If you feel comfortable, share your reflections with a trusted friend for further insight. Listen carefully—God may be speaking through the night.
